Ripley Castle and Gardens

Ripley Castle has been owned and occupied by the Ingilby family for over 700 years!  They still live here today.

The Castle buildings have changed over the years, as you'll see if you join us for a tour, and so has the business.  As well as being a family home we now host weddings, family celebrations, business meetings, outdoor events and are open for everyone to visit.  In fact, the Ripley Castle Estate now employs three times as many people as it did in its heyday as a stately home!

Tearooms

Our Tearooms offer a great range of snacks, light meals and refreshments in warm and comfortable surroundings, with cycle racks and plenty of places to chain your bike nearby.

The Boar's Head

The Boar's Head Coaching Inn, opposite Ripley Church in the market square, was originally a pub until it was renovated and opened in its current form in 1978.  The 25 individually designed bedrooms are warm, quirky and comfortable and we serve good food in the Bistro and Brasserie, using many ingredients grown in the Castle gardens.

The Boar's Head Beer Garden is a lovely spot on a warm summer's evening and cycle racks are available for your use.
